In this tale, the dragon species make a reappearance in the modern world and the human rise up in defense. In the fracas, one girl's family is lost and she vows revenge. This leads to her finding a dragon egg and raising the hatch-ling to become her instrument. All the while, the true reason for the species return is yet to be revealed. A century later after those events, a young girl finds a dragon to participate in a gladiatorial games, but that dragon has a history and reasons of his own.
